DAY 1 - CANCÚN
Upon your arrival at Cancun International Airport, a company representative will accompany you to the car rental office, where our assistant will be waiting to help you rent a car. Enjoy the evening at your leisure and experience the city’s famous nightlife. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 - CANCUN – VALLADOLID – CHICHEN ITZÁ – MÉRIDA (333 KM 4H)

We’ll head to the city of Valladolid, which was built to pay homage to the city of the same name in Spain. Its colonial architecture reflects its Spanish heritage. The splendor of its colonial riches has earned the city the nickname “Sultana of the East.”
Later, you’ll be amazed by the must-see archaeological site of Chichen Itzá (optional), one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. This site is undoubtedly the most famous in the Mayan world. The Mayans had a deep understanding of astrology; they built the main pyramid at Chichen Itzá aligned with the Sun, allowing the spring equinox to be observed through a play of shadows, and thus to see the god Kukulkan (the feathered serpent) descend the pyramid’s staircase.
Cenotes (natural freshwater wells) are located nearby where you can swim. We recommend the X Canche cenote (optional).
In the late afternoon, you will depart for Mérida. Its cuisine differs from traditional Mexican cuisine as it has been influenced by the local indigenous culture as well as by Caribbean, Mexican, European, and Middle Eastern flavors. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 - MÉRIDA

We recommend starting your day with a visit to a hacienda (not included), a traditional Mexican estate that bears witness to the city’s growth in the 19th century. At the hacienda, you’ll learn more about the artisanal process of making henequen fiber (a plant native to the region), which helped build Mérida’s wealth. This hacienda also has its own cenote (natural water well), where you can swim (bring your swimsuit and a towel).
Return to Mérida for a brief visit to the Museum of the Mayan World to deepen your knowledge of the history of this legendary civilization. Next, visit the historic center of Mérida, which has been nicknamed “The White City” due to the prevalence of white limestone as a building material. Locals say this name also refers to the cleanliness of the streets and public spaces, not to mention its safety. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4 - MÉRIDA – UXMAL – CAMPECHE (249 KM/3H)

Head to Uxmal, the most important Mayan site in the Puuc region. Here you can admire Mayan sculptures and an impressive 39-meter-high pyramid.
You will then continue on to Campeche. This city has a rich naval history and features Baroque architecture. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. After a century of relentless attacks on the city by French, Dutch, and English pirates, the Spanish built a major fortification in 1686. This fortification, Fort San Miguel, houses a museum of Mayan archaeology.
Over time, Campeche became the main colonial port of Yucatán, thanks to its formidable defense system, one of the best in the Western Hemisphere.
Local artisans are renowned for crafting comfortable hammocks, delicate works made from bullhorn, and straw hats in various shapes—all among the many other wonders you can find in the shops of its downtown area. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 5 - CAMPECHE – CALAKMUL (302 KM/6H)

After breakfast, you’ll head to the Calakmul archaeological site. Discovered as recently as 1930, it is one of the newest Mayan sites open to the public. It is located in the heart of the country’s largest tropical reserve. This reserve is also the second-largest “lung” in all of the Americas. You’ll feel like Indiana Jones here, as this site is still very wild! Approximately 6,000 structures have been discovered, only a few of which have been excavated. This site is still relatively uncrowded, allowing you to enjoy the peace and nature. Get ready to spot monkeys, birds, and other animals that call this magnificent place home.
If you’d like to continue exploring Mayan sites, you can also visit the sites of Becán, Chicanná, and Xpuhil, located within the Calakmul Reserve. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6 - CALAKMUL – BACALAR – CHETUMAL (235 KM/5H)

Head to Bacalar Lagoon, also known as the “Lagoon of Seven Colors.” Thanks to the contrasts in the terrain and its varying depths, the water reflects seven shades of blue. This lagoon also features an open-air cenote that reaches a depth of 90 meters.
If you wish, you’ll have the opportunity to take a motorboat ride. (optional) This is the best way to discover all the colors this lagoon has to offer.
Don’t miss a visit to Bacalar, a traditional village where you’ll find mainly wooden crafts and traditional handmade clothing, known as “huipiles.”
Don’t forget to also visit the ramparts of the “Fuerte de San Felipe,” which offer a breathtaking view of the lagoon.
In the evening, head to Chetumal. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 7 - CHETUMAL – TULUM (253 KM/3,5H)
Breakfast at the hotel, then on to Tulum, the only Mayan site built on the coast. This site served as a commercial port and defensive stronghold for the Mayan civilization. In Tulum, you’ll find beautiful white-sand beaches with turquoise waters where you can relax. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 8 - TULUM - AÉROPORT DE CANCÚN (118KM / 2H)
Breakfast at the hotel. You will then head to the Cancun airport for your return flight.
