We will continue our tour through the Zócalo and the Cathedral to the Temple of Soledad, Patron Saint of the City, near the Plaza de los Danzantes, where we can enjoy a delicious regional ice cream to refresh ourselves. We will visit a chocolate factory to learn about the grinding process and the different ways of preparing it. We'll end the tour by walking along the tourist boardwalk, where we'll see countless shops, restaurants, museums, and galleries, until we reach the Santo Domingo Church, an example of Mexican Baroque architecture built by the Dominican Order. Within this architectural complex, you can see the Central Plaza, the heart of Monte Albán, surrounded by the site's main buildings, such as the ball court, the south platform, the dancers' plaza, and the observatory, among others. It is recommended to wear a hat, scarf, and sneakers. We will continue our tour to the Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) of Santo Tomás Jalietza, famous for its backstrap loom. Where we will be greeted by an artisan who will explain the backstrap loom process, and we will be able to see the different items they can make, from centerpieces to backpacks, blankets, cushions, and makeup kits, among others.
We will continue to Ocotlán de Morelos, where we will visit our artisan, who will show us the process of making the famous local knives. They will explain how, from a small piece of metal, they can forge knives, machetes, and swords, and how each manufacturing process can be a metaphor for life. We will have lunch at a local restaurant (food not included) and, after a short break, we will head to San Martín Tilcajete, where our artisan will be waiting for us. He will explain the origin of the wood used to carve these mystical figures, how they are painted, and, depending on our date of birth, will tell us which animal is our protector. We will be able to see how these figures are carved and how the young people use small brushes to paint dots, lines, and fretworks with different meanings. We will return to the hotel around 6:00 PM.
Day 3: TULE - MITLA ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE - TIERRA EL AGUA - CANDLE WORKSHOP - TEOTITLAN DEL VALLE - MEZCAL FACTORY

After an hour and a half drive, we'll contemplate a true natural wonder: the petrified waterfalls of "Hierve el Agua," a stunning landscape of sulfurous waters and infinite colors. It consists of a series of petrified waterfalls characterized by their white color and immensity (they are over 200 meters high). They were formed millions of years ago by flows of carbonated water, whose current comes from springs located at the top of the ravine. We'll descend to visit the archaeological site better known as the City of the Dead, whose main feature is its walls filled with Greek tiles pressed without any glue, as well as its town that blends religious conquest with Mexican traditions and its artisan market. On the way back, we'll stop for lunch at a restaurant offering a buffet menu of local dishes (food not included). We'll continue our tour by visiting our first artisan, who will explain how candles are made for important events such as engagements, weddings, and wakes. We'll have the opportunity to make our own wax candle, and then move on to our next visit, a mezcal distillery, a unique beverage in the state and steeped in tradition in its production and consumption. You'll learn about the extraction and fermentation processes and immerse yourself in the unique work of the people who make this beverage. Finally, we'll visit Teotitlán del Valle, a town renowned for its wool rugs. You'll see the wool carding, dyeing, and weaving processes, and understand how it can take from six months to a year to make a rug of this quality. Return to the hotel.
