DAY 1 CITY
Reception at the Mexico City airport and transfer to the hotel. Free time at leisure. Lodging.
DAY 2 MEXICO CITY (City tour with Anthropology Museum)
Breakfast. Then you will enjoy a tour of the main streets of Mexico City, starting at the Historic Center, where the "Great Tenochtitlan" of the Aztec Empire was settled and declared World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Visit: the Zocalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the Palace of Fine Arts, among others. On Reforma Avenue you will find several monuments that have given shape and identity to the city, such as the Angel of Independence, the Diana Cazadora and the recent Bicentennial Column. Transfer to the Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important museums in the world that gathers the largest archaeological collection of Mesoamerican cultures, with pieces such as the "Sun Stone" or Aztec Calendar and the "Coatlicue", among many others. Through its 23 exhibition halls, you will learn more about the thought, life and culture of the different civilizations that developed in ancient Mexico. Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Lodging.
DAY 3 MEXICO CITY-QUERÉTARO-SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
Breakfast. Meeting with our guide to join the tour. Departure to Queretaro, an impressive city with vibrant architecture declared World Heritage for its splendid colonial buildings, squares, gardens and museums. City tour visiting its historic center, the house of the corregidora, the ochre-colored church of San Francisco, the baroque Santa Sora de Viterbo and finish with a visit to the arches, an aqueduct of 74 pink stone arches.
We continue our tour to a World Heritage City, San Miguel de Allende is also known for being the resting place or residence of artists, writers and poets. Arrival and panoramic tour starting with its historic center, followed by the Parish of San Miguel Archangel, whose spectacular pink towers rise above the main square, the Convent of the Conception, the Church of San Francisco and finally a visit to the Allende House and Institute. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Lodging.
DAY 4 SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE-DOLORES HIDALGO - ATOTONILCO
Breakfast at the hotel. Early departure to Dolores Hidalgo, registered in history as the cradle of the National Independence, being this the scenario for which, in the early morning of September 16, 1810, the priest Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla called the people by ringing the bells of the parish. Panoramic visit of the city: Parish of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, Casa de Visitas, Independence Museum, Mariano Abasolo's House, Main Garden, Traditional Snows, Talavera Ceramic Shops. Continuation to Atotonilco, known for all the pictorial art contained in the interior of its beautiful Sanctuary of Our Father Jesus Nazareno, which has been named the Mexican Sistine Chapel. Its founder, Father Luis Felipe Neri de Alfaro, gave himself to the task during most of his life to leave an evangelizing work, years later at the beginning of the Independence struggle the priest Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, took the banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which became the first flag of the insurgent movement, today it is a place of forgiveness and penance. DAY 5 GUANAJUATO-SAN LUIS
Breakfast. Departure to San Luis Potosi. Panoramic visit of the monuments of this beautiful city, the Plaza del Carmen, San Juan de Dios Garden, Cathedral of the Municipal Palace, Plaza de las Armas, Caja Real, Plaza de los Fundadores and the temple of Loreto.
We will head to Zacatecas, a beautiful mining city declared World Heritage, with beautiful facades, whose cathedral is the most outstanding example of Mexican baroque. Panoramic visit of the city from the Cerro de la Bufa, descent by cable car, rest of the afternoon at leisure, possibility of witnessing some musical "callejeada" with tambora. Lodging.
DAY 6 ZACATECAS-GUADALAJARA
Breakfast and educational visit to the Eden Mine, we continue our tour to the City of Guadalajara to visit the most representative and historical places of this cosmopolitan city: Hospicio Cabañas with the murals of the painter Orozco, the Degollado Theater, the Cathedral, the Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres, the Plazas and the Government Palace, rest of the afternoon at leisure. Lodging.
DAY 7 GUADALAJARA-TLAQUEPAQUE-TEQUILA
Breakfast. Departure to Tlaquepaque, a surprisingly beautiful town with its colonial churches and old mansions, colorful flowers and orange trees. Panoramic tour of its historic center where we can appreciate the finest craftsmanship of the state of Jalisco.
We continue to the beautiful city of Tequila, this town is known for the main tequila distilleries around the world. We will visit a distillery to learn about the production process of this beverage. Return to Guadalajara. Lodging.
DAY 8 GUADALAJARA-PATZCUARO- MORELIA
Breakfast. Departure to Patzcuaro, whose meaning in Purépecha language is "the door to heaven". City famous for its colonial beauty, originality in customs and local population, we will visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Health, the "House of the Eleven Patios", the historic center with its squares Vasco de Quiroga and Gertrudis Bocanegra. We continue to the city of Morelia. Lodging.
DAY 9 MORELIA- CITY
Breakfast, visit of the city of Morelia, considered Cultural Heritage of Humanity, known for its student atmosphere and its magnificent colonial buildings of pink quarry, panoramic visit of its main tourist sites, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Clavijero Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the typical candy market, the Aqueduct and the Guadalupano Temple in the San Diego Convent. Free time at leisure. Departure to Mexico City.
